We love a good hotel bar. There’s an air of mystery about; a feeling that anyone you meet might be a fleeting acquaintance, or a life-changing soul mate. Sure, we’re romanticizing it, but there’s plenty to get excited about in the hotel bar world when all over the country, hotels are stepping up their food and drink programs. The result? Hotel bars are nowplaces worth seeking out by travelers and locals alike. Here are four of our favorites, from Los Angeles to Chicago:
Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas. So So many Las Vegas bars can be found in hotels that picking a favorite can be a daunting task. Well, daunting until you see Chandelier Bar, three stories of magic found inside the Cosmopolitan. The bar is actually inside a massive chandliers, with distinct, worthwhile bars found on each of the three floors. The best part? Youl’ll sip on excellent cocktails no matter where you land in the chandelier.
The Tap Room at The Langham, Los Angeles. This Pasadena lounge is class, class, class all the way — the decor evokes the hotel’s orginal 1930s-era bar and the cocktails are perfectly executed classics. Even better? They’ve got a top notch beer selection and crave-worthy bar food. Pasadena may never have been quite so destination-worthy.
The Library at Public, Chicago. Cozy up at this perfectly well-appointed bar at Public — from the fireplace to the conveniently placed backgammon board, this is the bar we 100% wish was in our apartments. Sample from their excellent wine selection or opt for a cocktail to go along with their tasty food offerings which, oh yeah, are courtesy of Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
