Thank you to everyone who participated in our December new feature fireside chat on Facebook Live. We introduced a lot of great features last month and had a blast chatting about them. If you missed the live feed, don’t worry. I’ll link to it below. But first, let’s chat about those new features.
Events are now displayed on sidebar when in a new booking form
This release improves the function of adding a new booking. Before the release, when you would enter a new booking and add events to the booking, you were unable to see other events or notes from the calendar on the sidebar. Now all events and notes that are tied to the date, location, and rooms you are booking in will be listed out clearly for you on the right-hand sidebar. This feature works the same when you are editing events from the booking details page.
Credit card on file update
Currently with Tripleseat’s Clover Connect and Stripe integrations for both credit cards and ACH payments, when you add a credit card or bank account, it is associated with the contact. This means that the information stays with the contact across all bookings they have in Tripleseat. With this new release, ACH payments still hold the information with the contact but you now have the choice with credit card payments to associate the card with the contact as it’s always been or with just the specific booking. By default, the credit card will associate with the contact but you can uncheck the box for the credit card to be saved for just the specific booking. This feature is available on both the Tripleseat side and the guest portal.
VENUES by Tripleseat search updates
When a potential customer searches for a venue space in our VENUES by Tripleseat directory, they can now choose multiple criteria in one search. You can check out all of our new VENUES by Tripleseat updates here.
We made several great updates this month in our layouts. You’ll notice that now when you’re working in layouts the logo at the top of each one says “sample.” In addition, your layouts are now listed in alphabetical order. And last — but certainly not least — we made several design improvements, making it easier to drag and drop items into the layouts from the templates, while also making elements such as multi-event tables and two-column containers easier to format.
