Two Chicks, Three Seats Episode 81: Let’s Talk Event Planning and Building a Business with Valerie Francois and Paige Pasley, co-founders of The Social Butterflies

Two Chicks, Three Seats

What are event planners looking for in the venues that they select? What does it take to create an event planning business? What do clients even want in their events these days? If you are part of the hospitality and events industry, then any of these questions could be on your mind right now. There is so much knowledge we can share and learn from our own industry peers as we go along our individual career journeys. So let’s come together to talk about these topics.

We wanted to ask these questions and much more to two trusted event planners in the Boston events community — so we did! On the latest episode of Tripleseat’s podcast Two Chicks, Three Seats, Kate and I virtually sat down with Valerie Francois and Paige Pasley, the two co-founding wings of The Social Butterflies. A Boston-based full-service event company, The Social Butterflies works from conception to execution on their events within the social, wedding, and corporate event spaces.

Throughout the episode, we talk about The Social Butterflies’ creative process in event planning. We discuss what clients are looking for in their events, advice for starting your own business, and so much more. Francois and Pasley’s professional backgrounds bring together the perfect combination of event management and creative thinking to put together memorable event experiences.

The Social Butterflies also host their own biannual event in Boston, Soul & Sangria. This event brings the community together with music from DJs and a live band into one event, complete with a drink menu of innovative sangria beverages. Save the date for the next (and tenth) Soul & Sangria event: September 10 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm in Boston! More details regarding registration are to come on their website and social media pages.
