Tripleseat Upgrade: Notes for your Calendar, saving reports, and better financial reports

Hello, hello, and hello. This week marks another save of updates to our core Tripleseat product.

Calendar Notes

First up, after many requests, we’ve added the ability to create notes on your calendar. What is a note? It is just a simple message you can attach to a day or span of days for any venue or room(s) within a venue. In addition, notes can block bookings from being created.

An example use of a note:  create notes for when the big sports games are going on in town, conventions in the area, holidays, closings, etc. Now, when you look at the calendar or when you create a booking, the note will remind you of what is going on and possibly prevent you from mistakenly booking and event during a bad time.

To add a note, simply click on the notes icon that appears under any day on the calendar and it will bring up a form that you can use to fill out the note information.

When creating a booking, if the event overlaps with a “blocking” note, a conflict message will appear and prevent the booking from being created. We’ll be adding notes into the sidebar on new booking and leads forms soon.

Saving Reports

You can now save any report you run and share it with other people. No more needing to select the columns, date range, rooms, or other things you want every time you need to run a report!

To save a report, simply run the report you want and you will see a “save this report” button in the upper right corner of the screen. From there you can name and share the report. Once created, a saved report will show up in the appropriate reporting section on the “Reports” tab.

 Better Financial Breakdown for Booking Reports

Lastly, you can how see a breakdown of your menu items, tax, gratuity, etc. per booking on financial booking reports. If you have any questions regarding these fields, please contact support and we can assist.
