Tripleseat Upgrade: Booking Export Options, Merge Fields and More


After last week’s big release of the new Calendar, we took some time this last week to address some frequent customer requests. Details as follows:

Booking Export Options

Now, when on the Bookings tab, when you use the Export to Excel button, you will be presented with a dialog box that gives you some options to select before you receive the Excel file download. You can select which column you want the report to sort by and the direction for that column.

Note: Tripleseat will remember your export options – so if you run the same export over and over, you won’t need to “reconfigure” the export options repeatedly.

Additionally, we added in the ability to include all Menu Line Items as part of the export. The line items will show up in a row-by-row fashion underneath the booking to which they belong. This can be used, as an example, to create a quick and simple chef menu for the upcoming week.

Calendar Filter by SmartDocs

We enhanced the previous “has SmartDoc?” filtering option on the calendar to allow filtering on specific SmartDocs. You can also filter for bookings that don’t have any or a specific SmartDoc.

Data Downloads for Leads

We’ve added the ability to get a complete Excel download of all of your Lead data under Site Settings -> Data Downloads.

New SmartDoc Merge Fields

You can now add phone numbers to any Tripleseat user account. This will allow you to input all of your location’s staff’s phone numbers. Once that is in place, you can use the following merge fields in any of your SmartDocs.

Booking Fields -> Booking Owner Phone
Booking Fields -> Booking Owner Fax

Additionally, we added Restaurant Fax as a field

Update Notifications

In order to keep our customers up to date with the latest changes and feature enhancements in Tripleseat, we’ve added some small update notification messages across the site. If you want to hide them, simply click the [hide notice] link by the message and you will never see that particular message again.
