July 2022 Marketing Ideas for the Hospitality Industry

Summer is officially in motion, which is reflected by new menus, new decor, and new event offerings that restaurants are promoting for the month of July.

When it comes to driving business to your establishment for events or a la carte dining, we have some ideas that may help show your venue’s creative side to your followers on social media. These ideas will come in the form of food and drink holidays that you can use based on your current menu or perhaps will inspire you to make changes to your menu in order to join in on the fun of these holidays.

The big holiday is, of course, the 4th of July, also known as Independence Day. Make sure to show off your celebrations, decor, and holiday-themed food in social posts with the hashtags #4thofJuly, #FourthOfJuly, and #IndependenceDay.

Sweet treats seem to be another theme for the month of July, which is presented in a few different ways. Some of these sweet holidays include #NationalChocolateWaferDay on July 3, #NationalAppleTurnoverDay on July 5, #NationalSugarCookieDay on July 9, #NationalPecanPieDay on July 12, #NationalCremeBrûléeDay on July 22, and #NationalCheesecakeDay on July 30. We know the July will get hot, so #NationalIceCreamDay on July 17, #NationalVanillaIceCreamDay on July 23, and #NationalHotFudgeSundaeDay on July 25 are also three refreshing days to put on your calendar.

July also celebrates a couple fan-favorite menu items that are found on many types of menus, like #NationalCaesarSaladDay on July 4, #NationalMacaroniDay on July 7, and #NationalMacAndCheeseDay on July 14. #NationalCaviarDay on July 18 could be a special one to shout out if your venue chooses. #NationalBagelFest on July 26 is another fun holiday that any restaurant serving breakfast could promote.

Finally, when it comes to drinks in the month of July, there are some great ones to remember. #NationalPiñaColadaDay on July 10 could keep guests refreshed, #NationalMojitoDay on July 11 could be a shining moment for your bartender, and #NationalTequilaDay on July 24 would make many guests happy to celebrate.
