6 Ideas to Help Your Venue Increase Holiday Bookings and Revenue

It’s crunch time: the holiday season is when hospitality businesses make more revenue than any other time of year. Your venue is in a great position to generate business because customers are actively looking for restaurants and hotels as part of their holiday plans.
Tripleseat’s 2021 Holiday Restaurant and Hotel Bookings survey found that:
- 54 percent of consumers have or will use catering services for events
- Dining out in-person is the top way that consumers will support restaurants this holiday season
- 66 percent of consumers’ workplaces are planning holiday events, with 84 percent of those events to be held in-person
- 69 percent of consumers will be booking a hotel to visit family or friends or for a work trip during the holidays
There’s still time to push holiday catering orders, event bookings, reservations, gift cards, and anything else your venue is offering for the season. Get inspired with these marketing and promotions we found from Tripleseat customers.
1. Holiday parties
Corporate and social events are back, and these groups are actively looking for the perfect event space. Cambridge Brewing Company in Cambridge, Mass., does a great job in this post sharing all the details on their event space, including capacity, description of the space, and a quick overview of the menu. And they get bonus points for the link to their Tripleseat lead form!

2. Seasonal menu
Customers are craving the flavors and comfort food from this time of year. Tell them about what’s on the menu and show it off with a photo or video. Eggnog fans are definitely going to stop scrolling when they see this photo of Dallas-based XOXO Dining Room’s holiday cocktails.

3. Dinner to go
Last-minute planners or people who avoid the kitchen are searching for someone to take the preparation of the holiday meal off their hands. If you offer holiday dinners to go, share the info early and often! This image from Mercantile and Mash in Charleston, S.C., has all of the information customers need when deciding to purchase their Christmas dinner to-go promotion.

Is your venue partnering with a vendor or local business for a seasonal event? Eataly Boston is joining forces with Island Creek Oysters and Ferrari Trento wines for New Year’s Eve, offering an indulgent menu, sparkling wines, and entertainment to ring in 2022.

Your catering menu might be just what someone is looking for when planning their office party or large corporate event. Smoke BBQ+Skybar in San Antonio, Texas, makes the planning even easier with this image of their meal options and pricing.
6. Holiday package
Hotels and resorts have an advantage for New Year’s Eve because they have a restaurant or kitchen, large spaces for food stations, and stages for entertainment. Customers staying at Wave Resort in Long Branch, N.J., have everything they need to celebrate the new year in one place: entertainment, food stations, an open bar, and views of the fireworks.
