Announcing the 2022 Tripleseat Sip-Sational Cocktail Contest

People always say, “live in the moment,” but as an event manager, you are always looking six to 12 months ahead so your guests can do just that at their event. This contest is here to provide inspiration for the busiest event time of the year: end-of-year holiday celebrations.

We are calling all restaurants, hotels, unique venues, event spaces, and any hospitality industry business that loves to craft cocktails to delight your guests! Join us for Tripleseat’s first-ever Sip-Sational Cocktail Contest. So dust off your best-selling holiday cocktail recipes and see if you have the winning cocktail in the U.S.

Who can enter?

Any restaurant, hotel, unique venue, event space, or hospitality industry business with a liquor license can enter this contest. You do not need to be a Tripleseat customer to enter the contest. 

How does the contest work?

Join the fun and potentially get the glory, by submitting your best holiday cocktail recipe here by midnight PT, Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Your cocktail should be themed for the end-of-year holiday season, so get creative. The cocktail can be from your past holiday season menu, an idea that you have for this holiday season menu, a twist on a seasonal classic, or somewhere in between. The submission form will ask for the cocktail name (extra points for creativity), recipe, the person credited for creating the cocktail, the story behind the cocktail, and any photos or videos to assist your submission (optional). 

Once all cocktails are submitted, a team of Tripleseat cocktail enthusiasts will vote and narrow down the contestant list to 12 semifinalists. From there, the voting lies in the hands of the public.

The Tripleseat team will provide all semifinalists with promotional materials that they can share on their own social media with their colleagues and customers in order to encourage voting. 

Public voting will begin in mid-July. The top five finalists will be notified in early August. Upon accepting their finalist spots, finalists will be invited to join us at Tripleseat’s EventCamp in September in Boston where they will participate in the final “Sip Off” to determine one grand winner. EventCamp attendees will sip each cocktail and vote on one favorite.

What is the grand prize?

No contest is complete without a grand prize! The five finalists will receive one free ticket to EventCamp each. This covers the cost of the ticket itself to attend the full day of event industry sessions and the following day of Tripleseat education. Any travel costs will be the responsibility of the finalist. You do not need to attend to win, but you will surely be missing out.

The winner (one contestant) of the Sip Off will receive the grand prize of $500 to enjoy a meal out with their team. We know it will be a team effort with your bar team to get here, and we want all parties to celebrate!

What important contest dates should I remember?

• June 8: Cocktails must be submitted to the form HERE by midnight PT.
• Beginning of July: After internal Tripleseat voting takes place, 12 semifinalists will be announced. 
• Mid-July: Voting opens to the public.
• Beginning of August: Five finalists will be contacted and invited to EventCamp. 
• September: Five finalists will attend EventCamp in Boston for the final “Sip Off” to determine one grand winner.
