April 2021 Marketing Ideas for the Hospitality Industry

The month of April is a time of transition, where cool temperatures hang on in a lot of the United States, but spring is starting to make a big appearance. It’s also a great time of year to celebrate comfort foods and drinks, according to the unusual holidays celebrated this month.

April is National Grilled Cheese Month (#NationalGrilledCheeseMonth), and National Soft Pretzel Month, and these treats have their own individual holidays — National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day is April 12 and National Pretzel Day is April 26. There’s also National Burrito Day on April 1, Easter on April 4 (a day commonly celebrated with brunch and baskets filled with chocolate), National Deep Dish Pizza Day on April 5, National Twinkie Day and New Beers Eve on April 6, National Beer Day on April 7, and National Cheddar Fries Day on April 20.

If your restaurant, hotel, or unique venue serves any of these treats, put some marketing behind your menu and tell your customers to celebrate them at your business.

The infographic below lists those unique holidays and additional holidays for each day of April, along with hashtags for content ideas about hospitality, food, business, and holidays. Use the hashtags with the photos, videos, graphic design, and text posts on these topics that you share on your social media networks. Your followers will know that the content is related to the topic and you’ll get found by followers who are looking for posts related to the hashtags.
